The Bingham County Adult Probation Department is committed to providing the best services possible for adults placed on formal misdemeanor probation and Pre-Trial Services. There are four full-time Probation Officers, including one Administrator, certified through the Idaho POST Academy. These Probation Officers complete training every year to assist them in providing offenders with effective and efficient supervision, in an effort to increase community safety. These Probation Officers accomplish this through both office and field work. The department’s caseload includes, Misdemeanor Drug Court cases, Domestic Violence cases, Mental Health Court cases and other general cases. There is one full-time clerical staff to help and support the operations of the department. There is also one full-time staff that operates the Bingham County Lab and facilitates Pre-Trial Services. The Bingham County Lab screens all samples collected from Pre-Trial Services, misdemeanor probation, juvenile probation, Bingham County Problem Solving Courts and Health and Welfare Child Protection Services. Bingham County’s Transitional Housing Program assists indigent individuals with transitioning back in to the throws of society. Our Pre-Trial Services Program works with individuals released from jail prior to their trial. There are four part-time Urinalysis/Probation Technicians that assist with the Morning Testing Program, probation functions and the Bingham County Lab. This department supports our local Colleges and Universities by working with interns periodically. There are numerous bi-lingual staff throughout the department.
