The Bingham County Juvenile Probation Department is committed to providing the best services possible for juveniles placed on formal and informal probation. There are four full-time Probation Officers, including one Administrator, certified through the Idaho POST Academy. These Probation Officers complete training every year to assist them in providing juveniles with effective and efficient supervision. These Probation Officers work diligently in an effort to hold these juveniles accountable, facilitate competency development and increase community safety, under the Idaho Balanced Approach Model. These Probation Officers accomplish this by meeting with juveniles in the office, at school and in their homes. The department’s caseload includes Diversion Cases, Youth Court Cases, sex offenders and other low, medium and high risk cases. There is one full-time clerical staff to help and support the operations of the department. There is also one part-time staff that coordinates the Bingham County Youth Court Program. This department supports our local Colleges and Universities by working interns periodically. There are numerous bi-lingual staff throughout the department.
